Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer

Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer is a landmark Christian project set to open in 2028 in the West Midlands. Rising to around 169 feet, the structure will form an infinity loop and be visible from the M6 and M42, as well as nearby Birmingham Airport — placing it in view of millions of journeys every year. Made up of one million bricks, each one will represent an individual answered prayer. Visitors will be able to scan bricks using their smartphones to explore real stories of faith, from quiet personal moments to life-changing breakthroughs. The site itself will span an area comparable in size to Trafalgar Square, creating a significant public space for reflection, storytelling and encounter. More than a piece of architecture, the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer is designed to make hope visible — capturing and sharing a million testimonies to ensure that the impact of prayer is seen, remembered and considered by generations to come.

OAKonsult Disabilities – Parent Carers Living Life Abundantly

With support from the Bishop Radford Trust, OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach strengthened its core operations over three months, enabling us to expand our reach, enhance our systems, and grow our impact within the parent carer community in 2025. This funding supported our digital presence, outreach materials, community engagement, and essential infrastructure, resulting in significant growth across our platforms — including over 12,000 Instagram accounts reached, a 2000% increase in LinkedIn engagement, and a growing YouTube and WhatsApp community. This impact enabled us to deepen faith-based support for parent carers, leading to the launch of a dedicated Christian support WhatsApp group (The Praying Carer Group) and a new partnership with the YouVersion Bible App, which reaches over 1 billion users globally. Through this, we are extending faith-centred encouragement to families navigating disability, helping them encounter hope, dignity, and purpose.

180 Project

The 180 Project is a Christian charity that exists to support individuals to turn their lives around, both inside prison and as they transition back into the community. Our Community Link Work focuses on walking alongside people at one of the most critical and vulnerable points in their journey, the move from custody into everyday life. Through this work, we provide consistent, relational support to individuals leaving prison, helping them to rebuild stability, reconnect with positive networks, and take meaningful steps forward. Many of the people we support face multiple and complex challenges, including isolation, lack of purpose, and limited access to opportunities. Our approach is rooted in building trust, restoring hope, and helping each person recognise their value and potential. Funding from the Bishop Radford Trust has enabled us to strengthen this vital bridge between custody and community. Through one-to-one mentoring, group activities, and connection into local services and faith communities, individuals are supported to develop confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of direction. A key part of this work is our use of structured physical activity, including CrossFit-based sessions, to engage participants in a positive and purposeful way. These sessions provide more than just physical benefits, they create routine, build discipline, and foster a strong sense of community. For many individuals, this is their first experience of being part of a supportive team environment where they are encouraged, challenged, and celebrated. Alongside this, we create safe, welcoming spaces where people feel known, accepted, and supported. These environments foster a sense of belonging and encourage positive relationships, which are essential for long-term change. Participants are not only supported to overcome immediate challenges but are also encouraged to contribute positively to their communities. As a result of this support, we are seeing individuals grow in confidence, make healthier choices, and begin to build more stable and purposeful lives. For many, this is the first time they have experienced consistent encouragement and a community that believes in them. The Community Link Work reflects our wider mission: to see lives transformed, communities strengthened, and individuals empowered to move forward with hope and purpose.

International Needs

With the support of BRT over the years, we have been able to partner with local leaders around the world to support families in their communities through word and deed. Most recently we have been partnering to support disabled children in Uganda, empowering them through sport and improving their access to education and participation in community life. We were delighted to have attracted the interest of Amy Conroy, 4 x GB Paralympian in Wheelchair basketball, who wanted to help us champion this cause. This was a new kind of partnership for us and a great opportunity. We consulted BRT who gave us great ideas on how to get started and helped us network with others who were able to provide valuable advice. With their support we were able to partner with a PR consultant to help us promote this partnership and make the most of the opportunity. Through this, we developed a series of launch videos with Amy endorsing our work and sharing her story, reached new audiences online, expanded our social media reach, secured media interviews such as with Premier Radio and The Church Times, and learnt a lot about how to make the most of a partnership like this. This support helped us reach our fundraising target for our campaign with The Big Give and is opening several fundraising opportunities for us. Huge thank you to BRT for making this possible, ensuring we had the expertise we needed, and for giving us the confidence to go for it!

Gogo Olive

Gogo Olive has been going for 17 years, and we are so thankful that we are still receiving orders, which allows our knitters to keep knitting and being able to support themselves and their families. Although our initial aim was income generation, Gogo Olive has developed into so much more than this. As well as offering interest-free loans and assistance with emergency health bills, we try to help the ladies holistically and have in the past offered different educational workshops. We also love how, as a group, the ladies really have become a family, and every day in the workshop, you will hear lots of laughter and chatting around our outside kitchen, as the ladies prepare food and eat together. We are very grateful for the grant we received from The Bishop Radford Trust, to allow us to build this kitchen, and it is a positive addition to our knitting workshop in Zimbabwe.

Gloucester City Mission

With the generous funding from The Bishops Radford Trust contributing to the daily running of the GCM Homeless Day Provision (HDP), we have opened 5 days a week and have seen so many lives change. We provide wraparound support to those who are Street Homeless in a safe loving and faith lead environment. He was supported to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and once he was sober, became a volunteer for GCM. We were able to further support him into a “dry house”, and then when he quickly moved on to a “follow on house” provision with minimal support. During this time, he had become one of our committed volunteers spending most of his days in the HDP supporting our guests and GCM staff. He is how in paid employment as GCM’s Recovery Coach supported by our Recovery Lead, attending church (including having just signed up to an ALPH course) and living independently in private accommodation. Purple Shoots

Our vision is that no one should be left behind by our economy and that everyone should have an opportunity to fulfil their potential and to be contributors to their communities. Working through small groups and offering other wrap around support, we enable people to take control of their lives and move towards income generation and work. For those wanting to try their own business, we offer small ethical loans to make it possible. The starting point on a journey towards entrepreneurship for many people is one of our self-reliant groups. These are small collectives which equip people with the skills, confidence and support networks necessary to overcome personal and economic challenges, enabling them to test trade entrepreneurial ideas and to take initiatives in their communities. These groups work particularly well in partnership with other organizations, especially churches who can often provide a place to meet and a wider support network. It is this aspect of our work which Bishop Radford Trust have been supporting. We have started more than 20 new groups over the last couple of years and continued to support existing ones until they no longer need us and can carry on without us. We have had a few really successful partnerships with churches, where in some cases we have been able to establish a network of new groups doing multiple activities, in one case bringing together more than 50 people and supporting over 70 refugees who were temporarily housed in their community.

Gogo Olive

Gogo Olive creates employment for Zimbabwean women and has grown around the best ways to support these women and their families. We mainly work with ladies in prison, and when they are released, they can continue to work with the project. We teach the skill of knitting and aim to create high-quality, handmade and fair-trade products that tell a story and bring hope and joy. We also provide practical, emotional and spiritual support to our knitters. We received a grant from the Bishop Radford Trust, which is allowing us to build an outdoor kitchen at our knitting workshop. This space will allow our knitters to make a meal together which encourages good fellowship and the development of trusting relationships. We hope that the friendships the knitters build will be able to help the newly released ex-prisoners integrate back into their communities and families and that they will be able to support each other through other difficult times that may occur. The outdoor kitchen will also be used by the residents of our ‘Place of Safety.’ This is a recent building we have built that offers temporary accommodation to any of our knitters who need it while we help them look for long term accommodation.
