Ruth lives in Sussex with her husband Tom, 4 children and a bouncy spaniel. She enjoys runs and walks in the countryside with friends and spending time with friends and family. She initially studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford in 1995 before changing track to study Medicine after some overseas experience working for CMS in Nepal. She studied at Kings in London before moving her training to Brighton in 2007 after her first son was born.
She started GP training in 2009 and now works as a GP partner in Peacehaven. She has always enjoyed general practice and the variety it brings, particularly supporting whole families in the community. She also has an interest in palliative care having previously worked at a local hospice and supported the out of hours rota.
She is committed to her local church and also enjoys supporting Tom as he starts a curacy at a church in Crawley. She has been involved in children’s work at church and enjoys helping with the community study groups. She has been a trustee of the BRT since its inception in ….She loves being part of the British Radford Trust and supporting its work.
